Kathryn Erbe

Kathryn Erbe is known for her work on Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001),  Stir of Echoes (1999), and D2:The Mighty Ducks (1994). Born on July 5, 1965, in Newton, Massachusetts, she is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts’ undergraduate drama program. She became a member of Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s ensemble in 1993. She portrayed Detective Alexandra Eames on Law & Order: Criminal Intent for ten years (2001-2011), and reprised that role in two episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2012-2013). A mother of two young children, she incorporated her real-life pregnancy into Law & Order: Criminal Intent, when her character served as a surrogate for an infertile sister. Ms. Erbe is an ensemble member of the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. Most recently, she appeared on Broadway with Frank Langella in the Manhattan Theatre Club’s 2016 production of Florian Zeller’s play, The Father.
